STEEVES, MYRTLE - Myrtle Helen Steeves, 92, of Birch Grove Manor, Hampton and formerly of Hillsborough passed away on March 30th, 2013 at the Saint John Regional Hospital with her family by her side. Myrtle was born in Cape Station, Albert County, NB on February 14th, 1921 the daughter of the late Murray and Pearl (Douthwright) Edgett. She was a Founding Member of the Hopewell Hill Seventh Day Adventist Church. She enjoyed knitting, sewing and doing crossword puzzles. Myrtle's main goal in life was to look after her family, they meant the world to her. Her boys were definitely her pride and joy, then came along the grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, they all held a very special place in her heart. "We love you and you will live in our hearts forever." She will be deeply missed by her two sons, Gary C. Steeves (Margaret) of Hampton and Lloyd M. Steeves (Sandra) of North Sydney, NS; her precious four grandchildren, Virginia, Darren, Kim, Crystal; seven great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; brother, Avery Edgett of Hillsborough. She will also be missed by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her beloved husband Eldon C. Steeves; daughter-in-law, June Steeves; brother, Arnold Edgett.
She will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with visitation on Monday, April 1st, 2013 from 2 to 5pm. The Funeral Service will be held at the Albert County Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 2nd, 2013 at 1:00pm with Pastor Barry Hubley officiating. Immediately following the service the family will be meeting with relatives and friends for further sharing of memories and for refreshments. Interment will be held in the Fair Haven Memorial Gardens, Moncton, NB. Donations to the charity of the donor's choice would be greatly appreciated.
