Terri Leigh Kelloway, 52, of Marconi Towers Road, Tower Road, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 29, 2013, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of Robert and Beverly (Edstrom) Betts.
Terri Leigh was employed at various occupations throughout her lifetime. She worked at Hopkins Fish Plant, did housecleaning at hospitals and was a receptionist at the oil and gas industries in Alberta.
Terri Leigh loved gardening and fishing. She was blessed with a beautiful, outgoing and friendly personality as well as a great sense of humour.
Terri Leigh is survived by her loving husband, Winston Kelloway; two daughters, Leanne (Leon) Pettipas, Fall River, Emily (Marcel), Glace Bay; three brothers, Doug (Ross), Toronto, Brian (Susan), Cole Harbour, Glen (Lori-Ann), Lawrencetown; her pride and joy, her two grandchildren, Jack and Paige; special sister, Marilyn MacDonald, Glace Bay; mother-in-law, Marion Kelloway; numerious nieces, nephews and many close friends in Alberta who were just like family.
Terri Leigh was predeceased by her maternal and paternal grandparents.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay. The funeral mass, officiated by Rev. Norman MacPhee is Wednesday at 11 a.m. in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Port Morien, followed by a reception at the Birch Grove Fire Hall.
As an expression of sympathy for Terri Leigh, memorial donations in her memory may be made to the MS Society.
