Passed peacefully away on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at Tiffany Village, St. John’s following a short illness, Alice Godley Lever, aged 92 years. Predeceased by parents: William Thomas and Jennie (nee Godley); step-mother Elizabeth Churchill Young; brother Harold, sister Nellie (Noseworthy); and brother-in-law Fraser Noseworthy. Leaving to mourn with many fond memories brother Thomas (Springdale) and sister-in-law Marjory Mercer (Elliott Lake); as well as nephews: Leslie H. Noseworthy & wife Glenys, Thomas W. Noseworthy & wife Avril Fitzgerald, Andrew F. Noseworthy & wife Kristine Feaver- Noseworthy, and nieces Patricia Lee (nee Lever) & husband Ross, Ann Hense (nee Lever) & husband Gregory, Elizabeth Bowering (nee Noseworthy) & husband Keith and Jean Noseworthy & husband Darcy Roberts; as well as a large circle of friends; grand-nieces and grand-nephews. The family would like to especially thank the nurses, special care assistants and other staff at Tiffany Village for their compassion and care. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave, on Monday, April 1, 2013 from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. and on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 from 10 a.m. -12 noon. Funeral service will take place on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 from Cochrane Street United Church at 2:00 p.m. with interment to follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
