MOFFITT, MYRTLE HELEN - M. Helen Moffitt of Harvey, NB passed away on April 1, 2013 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born in 1926 at St. Stephen, NB, she was a daughter of the late Marjorie Piercy. Helen had been an active member of her community, involved with the Home and School Association and Knox Presbyterian Church. She was known for her homemade bread and her family come first in her life. Helen is survived by her husband, Earl W. Moffitt; a son, Darren Moffitt (Shannon), Harvey, NB; a daughter, Donna Moffitt, Harvey, NB; a grandson, Zion-Juhmal; a sister-in-law, Mabel Piercy, Harvey Station, NB; two nieces, Dawn Piercy (Shamus) and Reilly McWade, both of Stanley, NB. In addition to her mother, she was predeceased by a brother, Paul Piercy.
Visiting hours will be held at Swan Funeral Chapel, 1826 Route 3, Harvey Station, NB on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at 3 p.m. from the funeral chapel with Rev. Bonnie Wynn officiating. Interment will be later at Harvey Settlement Cemetery.
