Ann M. Gilson
At the John M. Gillis Memorial Lodge, Eldon, on Friday, March 29, 2013, the family announces with sorrow the passing of their loving mother Ann Gilson (nee MacKenzie), age 91 years, devoted wife for 72 years to the late William Gilson.
Born November 3, 1921, in Lower Montague, she was the daughter of the late John and Gertrude (Kneebone) MacKenzie. She is survived by her son, William (Betty), and grandmother to Gillian and Alex. She is also survived by her sisters, Christine Ellsworth (Albert, deceased), and Mary (Lloyd) Cann; brothers, Roderick MacKenzie (Barbara, deceased), and Fred MacKenzie; brother-in-law, David Gilson (Jan, deceased), and many nieces and nephews.
Aside from her parents Ann was predeceased by her husband, William; sister, Isobel (Harold) King; brothers, Sander (Jean) MacKenzie and Alfred MacKenzie; sisters-in-law, Marion (Roger) Lincoln, Connie (Archie) Porter and Bette (Dick) Hatch.
Resting at Ferguson-Logan Montague Funeral Home where visiting will be held Friday, April 5, 2013 from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Ferguson-Logan Chapel. Interment will take place in Lower Montague Cemetery following the funeral service.
Memorial donations to the Lower Montague Cemetery or Dr. John M. Gillis Memorial Lodge would be appreciated by the family.
