The death occurred peacefully, surrounded by family, at the Halifax Infirmary, of Albert Douglas Collings of Cambridge on Wednesday, July 2, 2008, age 78. Beloved husband of Catherine (Lowe). Dear father of Allan (Sherry) and John. Grandfather of Cody and Sara (Jake), Benjamin and Kimberly. Survived by brothers-in-law John (Flo) Lowe, Darrell, Bud, sisters-in-law June (Grant) Sencabaugh, Sandra (Laird) King, Doris (Winston, deceased) White and Mary Lou (Allan) MacLeod. and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Lionel and Christine (Llewellyn) Collings. Brother Lionel Jr., sister-in-law Sybil. Resting at the Southern Kings and Queens Funeral Home, Murray River, for visitation on Friday, July 4, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service from the funeral home chapel on Saturday, July 5, at 2 p.m. Interment in the Sturgeon United Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations gratefully accepted to Sturgeon United Church or cemetery fund.
