Peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Monday, Feb. 8, 2010, of Mr. Vincent John MacDonald of Stratford, age 75 years.
Beloved husband of Lois (nee Shaw) and loving father of David (Linda). Grandfather of Danielle and Dawson. He is also survived by brothers, Roddie and Roger MacDonald; sisters-in-law, Theresa, Loretta, Lois and Bernice MacDonald, Shirley (Jackie) MacLean; brothers-in-law, Roy (Audrey) Shaw, Kenny (Mae) Shaw, Spencer Shaw; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Vince was predeceased by his parents, John and Hilda (Deveaux) MacDonald; stepfather, John Gallant; son, Kevin; brothers, Henry and Chester MacDonald, Charles Gallant; sisters, Mary, Gussy, Rita, Eleanor and Doris; niece, Sandra MacDonald; father and mother-in-law, Herman and Reta Shaw; and brother-in-law, Lindsay Shaw.
Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home until 10:10 on Friday morning, then transferred to Our Lady of Assumption Church, Stratford, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment will take place later in the parish cemetery. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Flowers gratefully declined. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to Kidney Foundation of P.E.I. or the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation.
