Gladys Pearl "Peggy" Faulkner
FAULKNER, Gladys Pearl “Peggy” – 98, Murray Siding, passed away suddenly on Thursday afternoon, April 4, 2013, at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born November 1, 1914, in North River, Colchester County, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Ada (McNutt) McNutt. Peggy was a member of First Baptist Church, Truro, Goodtime Seniors Dance Club, Good Neighbours Seniors Club, CN Pensioners Club and enjoyed going to the Thursday night seniors dances at Brunswick Street United Church. Peggy married Merle D. Faulkner on May 22, 1939. She is survived by her sons, George (Corine), Garry, Wayne (Brenda); daughter, Marlene (Stephen) Creelman; grandchildren, Wendy, Maria, Jason, Scott, Nick, Jamie and Joey, Jalena and Jonathan; 12 great grandchildren; sister, Hazel McClelland; sisters-in-law, Mabel, Jean, Betty; many nieces and nephews. Along with her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brothers, Wilbur, Guy, Ralph, Arnold, Ira; sisters, Elsie, Alice, Violet. Special thanks are extended to EHS Paramedics, staff of Emergency Department and ICU at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Dr. Sarbjit Singh and Dr. Jag Singh for their compassion and care. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall – Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where Peggy’s family will receive friends from 2-2:45 p.m., Sunday, April 7, 2013, followed by the funeral service at 3 p.m., Reverend Dr. Frank Guinta, Jr. officiating. Reception will follow. Spring interment in Watson Cemetery. Family flowers only.
