We the family of the late Genevieve Walker would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the nurses and staff on 4th and 5th floors Northside General Hospital who took such good care of our Mom, Dr. M Knott (Mom's doctor) for your kind and gentle way you treated our mom, Dr. Poulis and the palliative Care Team, Pastoral Care, wound nurse Theresa Arsenault. Thank you to Fr. Peter MacLeod (Parish Priest) who celebrated the funeral mass at St. Anne Church, for your kind words, your visits to her home and while she was in the hospital, mass concelebrants, Frs. Jake Andrea, Sandy MacNeil, Joe Gillis, Bedford Doucette, Vern Boutilier and in the congregation Fr. Joe Ambrose macNeil, Corrine and the choir members, organist Agnes Gaskell, Angela and her comittee for putting on the luncheon. Thank you to the alter servers, Johnnie Walker, Urban day, Reggie Thurbide, gift bearers, great grandsons, Trent and Cordel Olson, eucharistic ministers Vicky Taylor and Greg Walker, readers, son Sheldon Walker , granddaughters Chantale Walker and Susanne Taylor, pallbearers, grandsons, Todd Walker, John Joseph MacLellan, Bobby MacLellan, Dirk Walker,Ryan Walker, Terry Walker, Scott Walker, Elliott Walker, Ross Vickers, Honorary pallbearers , Bridget Thurbide, Norma Macleod, Margie Deveaux, Antionette Jessome, Una Newton, Theresa Reid, members of the Brasd'Or Pensioners Club, Greg and Joanne for their hospitality in the "garage" where the abundance of food was served to family by Genevieve's daughters- in- law and granddaughters. Thank you to all who attended the visitation and funeral mass and for the many mass and sympathy cards, flowers, phone calls, emails, visits, monetary donations to charities, support of the sisters of St. Martha, and the ever ending food brought to all our homes also neighbors Donna and Joey. A special thanks you to Mom's angels (you know who you are) at the luncheon. Thanks to Joey Burton who sang Danny Boy accompanied by Stewart MacNeil, the eulogy presented by Norma Marsh and the kind words of tribute to Mom by Bridget Thurbride representing the Brasd'or pensioners club. The family (from away) who traveled so far to be with us, it was comforting. A very special thank you to the staff of Bobby Francis Funeral Home for their compassion, support and hugs. We will be forever grateful for the long time we had with our mother, mother-in-law and grandma, so thanks again everyone for being so supportive. The Walker family
