SCRIBNER, GEORGE WILLIAM - It is with heavy hearts that the family of George Scribner announces his death at home, surrounded by his family, on Thursday, April 11th, 2013 at the age of 75. Born in Saint John on March 9th, 1938, he was the husband of Erna Scribner of Lincoln, NB. George leaves behind his loving wife, Erna; children, Lynda (Donald) McAleer and Larry Scribner; step children, Eddie (Cathy) Logan, Trent (Debra) Logan and Elona Beckett; grandchildren, Amanda McAleer, Bryan McAleer, Michael Beckett, Chelsea (Ryan) Brooks, Anthony Logan, Brittney Beckett and Carter Logan; great grand-daughter, Emery Brooks. George was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Elsie (McCracken) Scribner. The family would like to say a special thank you to Wandlyn Richards, Pam Samson and Pam Chin from Fredericton Extra Mural for their wonderful care and kindness and to Dr. Debra Gowan, who went above and beyond for George.
Visitation will be held at Oromocto Funeral Home, 108 Winnebago St., on Sunday, April 14th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A funeral service will be held at Wesley United Church in Lincoln on Monday, April 15th, 2013 at 2 pm with Rev. Brian MacDonald officiating. Interment will take place in the Lower Lincoln Cemetery at a later date. The family requests no flowers please.
