– August 20, 1924 to February 10, 2010 - Passed peacefully away after a lengthy illness in the presence of his family. Predeceased by parents Commandants Ronald and Regina Sexton, two sisters Greta Sexton and Viola Best. Leaving to cherish his memories are his devoted wife of 57 years, Jean (Hutchings), two sons: Brian from Toronto, Jeff (Gail) and their daughters Jillian and Kayla from Mount Pearl; one daughter Janice (Darrell) and their son Ryan Harris from Corner Brook and sister Edna Peters from Springdale, sisters-in-law: Shirley Bishop and Netha Taylor and other family and friends. Visitation will take place at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl, Friday, February 12th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m and Saturday, February 13th from 2-4 p.m. Funeral will take place at Barrett’s Chapel, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl at 2 p.m. Interment to take place in Corner Brook at a later date.
