Biddle, Ronald Leon, 70, Truro, It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Ron Friday, April 12, 2013 at the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Truro, January 21, 1943, he was the only child of the late Leonard and Edith (Burgess) Biddle. Ron lived in the Truro his entire life and especially loved Beaverbrook and the Old Barns area. Always a devoted Ford man, one of Ron’s greatest passions was following Ford wins in Nascar. Early in his life he worked briefly at the Lewis Hat Factory in Truro. He went on to spend the remainder of his career working in Ford dealerships in Truro spanning 30 years. Ever the kind and gentle spirit, Ron loved to chat with family, friends and strangers. He was always known for his ready smile, twinkle in his eye, kind words and willingness to help others. Ron loved country music and always had Tim Horton’s in hand.
He will be deeply mourned by his beloved Donna his cherished friend and companion and extended family. He was lovingly known as Papa Ron.
No visitation by family request. A graveside service will take place on Wednesday, April 17th at 2 pm in the Old Barns Cemetery, Old Barns with Rev. Gary Yetman officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. Donations in Ron’s memory may be made to the Hospice Society.
