Sylvia MacDonald
Card of Thanks
We, the families of the late Sister Sylvia MacDonald of St. Martha's convent in Antigonish, are in deep gratitude to the Sisters of Saint Martha for helping Sister Sylvia on her journey to her eternal rest. On behalf of the Lloyd MacDonald family, and friends of Sister Sylvia, we extend our thanks for the many cards and tributes received on her behalf. The vigil, the night before the funeral, was well attended. The chapel at Bethany was filled to capacity for the funeral. The beautiful choir was skillfully directed by organist and community song leader. Violin music was provided by Sylvia's brother Lloyd, his sons Paul Dan, and Shawn MacDonald. To the staff at the MacIsaac Funeral Home in Antigonish, we extend our thanks. To the pallbearers, offertory presenters, lectors and Eucharistic ministry, we are indeed grateful. Thanks to the Sisters who provided refreshments after the service, we again extend many thanks. Special thanks are extended to close friends and Sisters of St. Martha of Sister Sylvia who kept a vigil at her bedside during her illness. Many thanks are extended to Father Neil MacKenna for the celebration of the mass of Christian burial. The many floral tributes, cards tributes and letters arrived almost daily during Sister's illness. To Sister's longtime friends at the Elm Gardens in Antigonish, we give many thanks. To all who assisted Sister Sylvia in any way, we extend our thanks and gratitude.
