At Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Sunday, April 14, 2013, of Carolyn May Gavin, Summerside, formerly of O'Leary, aged 51, wife of Rodney Gavin. Born in O'Leary May 17, 1961, daughter of Lorne and Lana (Turner) Wallace. Dear mother to Andrea Wallace, Summerside, Krista MacDonald (Robert Fraser), Calgary, Alta., and Becki Morris (Marcus Sena), Charlottetown. Loving grandmother to Nigel and Sarah McHugh, Summerside.
Carolyn is survived by mother-in-law Helen Gavin, Alberton, father-in-law Terry Gavin, Tignish, brother David (Julie) Wallace, Calgary, and sisters Connie Wallace, Calgary, and Melanie (Darren) Cash, London, Ont. She is also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law: Allan (Joan Ann) Gavin, Tignish; Sharon (Bill) Halifax, N.S.; Paul (Charlene) Gavin, Tignish; Lynn (Brent) Champion, Montrose; Paula (Paul) Gaudet, Tignish; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her grandparents Wendell (Joey) Turner and Art (Daisy) Wallace. Resting at Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O'Leary, with visiting hours Wednesday, April 17, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 18, at 11 a.m. in the chapel. Interment to follow in Bloomfield United Church Cemetery, Bloomfield. In memory of Carolyn, memorials to Bloomfield United Church Cemetery or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
