KNOX, GLADYS HANBY - It is with great sadness the family announce the death of Gladys Hanby Knox of Kennebec Manor who passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 13, 2013. Born March 17th 1921 she was the daughter of the late George William and Gladys Maude (Best) Adams. A devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend. She is survived by her daughters Mary H. Logan (Howard) of Saint John, Sandra V. Summers (Robert) of Sook, BC and Brenda Lee Ballard (Brian) of Saint John and son William George (Barb) of Redhead; son-in-law Owen Howe of Calgary; brothers George, Harry both of Saint John, Douglas of Ontario, Leslie, Nelson and Frank all of Saint John; sisters Mary Sistilli of West Virginia, Madeline Bordage and Paulette Adams both of Saint John; 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews and friends. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her devoted husband William Nelson Knox, daughter Gladys Diane Howe; son Edward Nelson Knox; sister Elsie Kenny and brothers Murray, Ronald and Gordon.
Arrangements are under the care of Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). By request there will be no visitation. A private family graveside will take place at Greenwood Cemetery at a later date.
