October 8, 1930 - April 12, 2013
Born in Middleburg, Netherlands, Johannes (John) started a new life in New Zealand where he met his wife Anna, also a recent immigrant from Holland. Together they made a home and family and immigrated to the Lower Mainland in 1968 where he worked primarily as a carpenter. Happily retired he moved to Gibsons where he was active in the church and community.
He will be missed greatly by his loving wife, his seven children and their spouses; Peter and Wendy, Sophia, Adriana and John, Wilma and Mike, Rutger and Debbie, Louise and Del, Esther and Gary and his nine grandchildren. John has returned to the arms of his Lord and his family wish to express their appreciation to all those who prayed, visited and helped over the last few months.

Service to be held Saturday, April 20 at 2:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, 711 Park Road, Gibsons.
