WISTED, MARY LORRAINE - With sadness the family announce the passing of Mary Lorraine “Lorrie” Wisted, loving wife of Leo Wisted, which occurred on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1931 in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Tobias) Gabriel. Lorrie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who loved to entertain and make memories with her family and friends. She was a long-time member of Stella Maris CWL, the birthday clubs and the country cousins. In addition to her husband Leo, she is survived by her sons Pat (Dawn Marie) of Winfield, BC, Jeff (Michelle) of Saint John and Mark (Nancy) of Cambridge Station, NS; daughter Fay Ann Wisted of Calgary, AB; brothers Joseph (Jean) of Saint John and Charles “Chuck” (Patricia) of Willow Grove; sister Muriel Tobias of Saint John; grandchildren Katie, Kristen, Steven, Ryan, Sean, Rebecca and Rachel; step-grandchildren Dylan, Cayley, Maggie, Calum, and Hailey; great-grandchildren Jaymes, Logan and Haylee; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters Constance Marino, Fay Ann Gabriel, Ruth Gabriel and Ann Gabriel.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd. (646-2424) with visitation on Thursday, April 18, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Stella Maris Catholic Church on Friday, April 19, 2013 at 12:05 p.m. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
