MARIAN E. JUDY WALLACE
Date de naissance : 28 septembre 1943
Date de décès : 9 avril 2013
In the wee morning hours of Tuesday, April 9, 2013, Marian E. Judy Wallace (nee BRUNN) gently passed from this worldÖto a place where only the heart can see.
She was the fiercely protective, unconditional loving mom of Trudi (Pat Fletcher), Lorne Rowe, Lee Lanoue, Christopher Rowe (Jennifer). She was always the ever-proud, number one fan and extremely biased grandma of Dale Fletcher; Jordan and Jillian Rowe. She was the loved and adored G.G. to her great-grandchildren, Keagan and Kaia Fletcher. Every moment together was a treasure.
Her love and presence will
be sorely missed.
The second youngest of nine children, Marian Judy will also be lovingly remembered by her three surviving siblings; sisters Noele of Port McNeill, Mardelle of Tagish Lake and her adoring brother David of Maple Ridge.
She was predeceased by an infant daughter in 1969, by both of her parents, as well as siblings, younger sister Evelyn Gaye Mohammed, "The BRUNN Boys", (Frank, Bill, J. Patrick & Gerald Brown).
Marian Judy worked many years in the hospitality industry before summing up the courage to pursue her love of the nursing profession as a mature student, graduating with honors. She worked briefly at Royal Inland Hospital before settling on a career with High Country Healthcare, from which she retired in 2008 at the age of 65.
At the tender age of 66, she volunteered with the RCMP Victims Service Unit, putting in many, many hours, until her recent illness prevented her from working. She was extremely proud to be associated with this fine program.
Special thanks to her longtime friend and co-worker, Pat Hopkins; to Lisa Gammel and the friends/staff at RCMP Victims' Service for their thoughts and letters; to Drew Padgett, whose ongoing presence and support are deeply appreciated.
In keeping with her private nature, a family BBQ with laughs and tears was held April 10, 2013 with balloons and messages carried to her on the quiet evening breeze. No formal service by request.
Memorial donations will be graciously accepted at the The Kamloops Hospice Association in Marian Judy's name. 725 Whiteshield Cres. South, Kamloops, B.C., V2E 2S9 .
Thank you to Schoening Funeral Service Ltd. for the assistance during this difficult time.
