With sadness and tears we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Dad and Grandpa, at 88 years old.

He enjoyed a typical farm-boy life on his parents sheep ranch in Westsyde, (Riverbend Ranch), and was a hard working loyal son. Dad eventually worked his own ranch in Westsyde called Springhill Ranch.

He met his future wife while delivering potatoes to the "Top Hat CafÈ" in Kamloops. He gave up the ranch life and moved into town and Mom and him were married November 28, 1953. Dad's love of the farm life led to his employment with the Dept. of Agriculture at Tranquille Farm. He was also a volunteer fire fighter with the North Kamloops Fire Hall for many years.

Dad retired in 1979, but remained very active with The North Shore Lawn Bowling Club and Seniors Olympics, as well as volunteer pickup and delivery for RIH Auxiliary Thrift Shop. He and Mom enjoyed bus tours to Reno and a long road trip back to Mom's home in Ontario.

Predeceased by his loving wife Eileen, December 22, 2011, and brother-in-law Ray Brost, December 22, 2012.

Left to cherish his memory, his most loving daughter Dian Reed, son-in-law Rhoddy, grandsons Tyler Reed (Larissa) and Dustin Reed. Son and best friend Ray Boyd, devoted daughter-in-law Jane and grandsons Carlo (Kaylee) and Erick. And his Special "Fur Friend" Tippy, and Ron Boyd. His sister- in-law Helen Brost and family, along with a few dear long time friends.

A special Thank You to Dr. David Stoltze and the Nurses on 5 North who took such good care of Papa during his short time there.

No funeral, but a Celebration of Life will be announced this summer.

Cremation entrusted to Schoening Funeral Service.
