Passed peacefully away at Placentia Health Centre, on April 16, 2013, Monica Corcoran, of Riverhead, S.M.B., aged 74 years. Predeceased by parents Hannah (1956) and Stephen (Ita), grandson Kalvin, infant sister Annette and brothers Kenneth, Brian and Philip O’Connell. Leaving to mourn her loving husband Alphonsus; children: Terry (Kay), Stephen (Jackie), Bernadette (Tom), Calvin (Sheila), Helen (Dermot), Ita (Bill), Phonse (Melanie): grandchildren: Jason, Justin, Nicole, Stephen, Robert, Gail, Glen, Eric, Travis, Stephanie, Brandon, Ashley, Brent, AJ, Nicolas and Haley; great-grandchildren: Mackenzie, Taylor, Chloe, Kaylee, Aiden, Rilyn, Logan, Callie; brothers: Eugene (Patsy), Ralph (Madonna), Stephen (Theresa), Lawrence (Diane); sisters: Marjorie (Frances), Anita (Harold), Joan (Richard), Betty (Eugene), Susan (Paul), and Colleen, brothers and sisters of the O’Connell family, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, nieces, nephews and all other relatives and friends. A special thank you is extended to Dan, Geraldine and staff of Beachside Manor, who provided Mom with such excellent care during her final days. Resting at Gibbons’ Funeral Home, St. Mary’s, on Thursday, April 18 and Friday, April 19, from 2 - 4 pm; 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 20, at 10:30 am, at St. Joseph the Worker Church, Riverhead.
