STUART, Gary Joseph – 51, Hectanooga, Digby Co., passed away in Yarmouth Regional Hospital on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 after a brief illness. Born December 21, 1961 in Saint John, New Brunswick, he was a son of Armeline (Boudreau) Guay, Kentville, and the late Vincent Stuart of Church Point. Gary owned and operated Stuart’s Refrigeration. He was an outdoorsman and he loved hunting, fishing, camping and playing poker and darts. Aside from his mother, Armeline, he is survived by his wife, Carmen (Hatfield) Stuart, as well as by sisters, Nicole (Rob) Mader, Winnipeg and Giseline Guay (Rob Lepper), Kentville and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his parents-in-law, Ernie and Dorothy Hatfield, Yarmouth. Cremation has taken place under the direction of H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home & Crematorium, Yarmouth, and there was no visitation by request. A funeral mass was held at 10 a.m., Thursday, April 18 from St. Ambrose Cathedral, Yarmouth, Father John MacPherson officiated. Internment followed in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery. It was requested that there be family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the Gilles Boudreau and Friends Cancer Help Fund.
