MARTIN, Andree June Elizabeth (nee March) (November 29, 1932-February 12, 2010) — Drifting softly from this Earth, our beloved June, leaving with cherished memories her true love Gordon Pond who has given steadfast care and devotion. Also sharing a lifetime of memories, are her brother Roger (Sandra Bursell) and sister Deanne (James Mahoney, deceased). Enriching their lives with care and love, she leaves with happy thoughts, nieces and nephews Roger, Michelle, Kelly, Ken, Meghan and great nieces and nephews Zoe, Sarah, Xanthe, Anna, Phoebe, Amara, Emma, Erik, Chaemus, Esmae, and Sean. She has forged bonds of love with Gord’s daughters, Denise and Suzanne, son Keith and their children, his brother Reg, sisters Florence and Edie, and their families. She lived her life to the fullest having made lifetime friendships through her teaching profession and many travels. Also left with fond memories are her friends and other relatives, especially the March families from Random Island. We extend a heartfelt thanks to the staff of St. Luke’s home for their professionalism, compassion and above all their kindness and love for June over the last few years. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. on Saturday, February 13 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday, February 14 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Monday, February 15 at 2 p.m. at Barrett’s Chapel. Interment to follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or a charity of one’s choice.
