STONE, Robert Keith Frampton – 71, Halifax, formerly of St. John’s, NL, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family. Youngest son of the late Henry and Helen (Frampton) Stone. He was the loving and devoted husband of his loving wife Elizabeth (Wells) for 47 years; father of Terry, St. John’s; Robert (Lisa), Halifax, and Baby Keith (predeceased); proud grandfather of Connor, the newest joy of his life. Robert is also survived by his sisters: Jean Donnelly (Douglas), Toronto, Ont., Shirley Greene (Jerry, deceased), Paradise, NL, Beryl Reid (Jim), Fall River, and Gertrude Snow (John), St. John’s; and sister-in-law Joy Stone, Milton, Ont.; brothers-in-law: Bill Wells (Bernice), John Wells (Diane) and Alex Wells; sisters-in-law: Dorothy Harding (Earl), Lorraine Mastropietro (John), as well as numerous nephews and nieces; lifelong friends, Bruce and Shirley Hemmens; and his daughter-in-law’s parents Bob and Mazie Withrow. He was predeceased by his brothers Gerald (Ruth) and Bill and his parents-in-law William and Edith Wells. Robert “Bob” will be fondly remembered for his love of his family and friends, his service to others, his strong sense of values, his personal strength, his faith in God that never faltered, and his fantastic sense of humour. He will be greatly missed but his memory will live on in the hearts and minds of family and friends. Cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends may visit the family on Monday, February 15 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, St. John's, NL A memorial service to celebrate his life will take place on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Anglican Cathedral of St. John the Baptist in St. John’s. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Forest Road. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Anglican Cathedral.
