With one hand holding his daughter, the other hand taking God’s, our beautiful Dad left this world in peace on Monday, February 15, 2010. It is with great loss we announce the passing of Melvin C. Sheehan of Bear River in his 74th year. Left with an incredible emptiness are his beloved children, Tracey (Frank) Wood, Charlottetown and Chad (Lisa) Sheehan of Kelowna, B.C. Precious Grampie to Jillisa, who was undoubtably his world and pride and joy. Loved by sisters Dolly (Fred) Paquet, Laura (Tom) Shoemaker, predeceased by brothers James (Buddy) Sheehan, George (Yvette) Sheehan. Predeceased by parents Charles and Margaret Sheehan and nephew’s Merrill and Tommy Shoemaker. Loved by long time friend and companion Mary Ogden. Resting at the Dingwell Funeral Home in Souris for visiting hours on Wednesday February 17, 2010, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral to be held on Thursday morning February 18, 2010 to St. Margarets Roman Catholic Church for funeral mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. Interment in the church cemetery.
