Passed peacefully away at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital on April 9, 2013, Mr. Alfred Rice of Goose Cove, NL, in his 83rd year. He leaves to mourn with a lifetime of fond and loving memories his children Pearl (Primus), Ralph, and Calvin (Pat); grandchildren Darlene (Jake), Kelly (Brian), Ashley (Jordan), James; great-grandchildren Brandon, Jacob, Conall, and Seamus; sister-in-law Hazel Parsons and family; great niece and special caregiver Melissa Ricks (Ross and family); as well as a wide circle of nieces, nephews, and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Marie and parents John and Elizabeth. Visitation took place at Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Home in St. Anthony followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m. at St. Mary’s Anglican Church on Friday, April 12 with Rev. Fr. Paul Finlay officiating. Interment followed at the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, funeral director.
