To all who sent mass cards, sympathy cards, online condolences, emails, phone calls, made memorial donations, sent food and attended the wake and funeral, thank you. Thank you to Dr. Paul Murphy, Harbourstone Enhanced Care Facility, VON and C.B. County Homemakers for their compassion and care. Sincere thank you to the Knights of Columbus, Father Devereaux, Our Lady of Fatima Church Choir and Bereavement Committee, also to the Lazarus Committee for the beautiful lunch after the funeral. Many thanks to the Branch 12 Royal Canadian Legion for their attendance at the funeral. A special thank you to Dad’s dear friends, Carl MacKenzie and Dougie MacPhee for the touching music played during the funeral. To Dad’s Cousins Ian MacKenzie, we were so honored to hear you play Dad’s bagpipes and Allen MacKenzie for composing his farewell tune, thank you. To the Cape Breton Highlanders Pipe Band, a most sincere thank you for playing outside the church on such a cold and stormy day. To Bill Curry and staff of T.W. Curry’s Funeral Home, for their professionalism and compassion shown to us, thank you. And lastly, to the grandchildren, for their respective involvement in the funeral, as pallbearers, lectors and offertory preparations, thank you, Papa would have been proud.
