Claude McShane
McSHANE, CLAUDE CECIL - On Thursday, April 25, 2013, Claude C. McShane, loving husband of Debbie Negus, passed away at the Saint John Regional hospital with his family by his side. Born in Moncton, NB, he was the son of the late Frank and Florence (Carre) McShane. Claude worked for Jim Lynch at Mr. Transmission for many years before going out on his own with McShane’s Transmissions 13 years ago. He was a kind and generous man with a big heart. He adored his family and friends. Claude loved NASCAR and all things “torque and horsepower” (There wasn’t a mud hole that he couldn’t get through) and he and the boys made many a trip to the States to go racing with his Mud Truck “Out of the Blue 2”. Claude will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all his family and friends. Along with his wife Debbie, Claude is survived by his sons Claude (Lynda), Tim (Angela), and Jeff (Anna) all of Saint John; brothers David (Dorothy), Saint John, Tommy (Mildred), Sussex and Delbert (Alice), Alberta; sister Shiela Smith, Sussex; mother-in-law Barbara Negus; his six precious grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his father-in-law Russell Negus and his brother-in-law Junior Rogers.
Arrangements entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road. (646-2424) The family will receive visitors Saturday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm. Funeral Service will be held Monday, April 29, 2013 at 1pm from the chapel. A brief, private, family interment will take place at Fernhill Cemetery followed by a reception at the funeral home.
