Catherine Gertrude Paul, 78 of Eskasoni, formerly of Chapel Island, passed away Thursday, April 25, 2013 at the Richmond Villa, St. Peter's.
Born in Chapel Island, she was the daughter of the late Annie Claire (Paul), Stephen P. Francis and biological father, Noel Stevens.
She was a member of Holy Family parish, Eskasoni. Catherine loved to be with friends and family, especially when it involved playing bingo.
She is survived by a daughter, Beverly, Brockton, Mass.; a son, Roger Michaud, Eskasoni; five sisters, Josephine Francis, Eskasoni, Caroline Francis, Maine, Theresa Stevens, St. Peter's, Irene Gould, Rosanne Murray, both of Potlotek; six brothers, Joe Allan, David, Daniel, Roderick, Alex (Mary), all of Eskasoni; George Stevens, Potlotek, by one grandson and many nieces and nephews.
Catherine was predeceased by her first husband, Joe Thimas; second husband, Harold Arnesen; brothers Norman, Angus, Jonas, Ryan, Joseph Levi Stevens and sister, Rose Marie.
Visitation for the late Catherine Paul will be on Monday, April 29 after 7 p.m. at the family residence, 58 Mickey's Lane, Eskasoni. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Church with Rev. Martin MacDougall officiating. Interment in the parish cemetery, Eskasoni.
