Edith “Joyce” Coffill - 80, formerly of Blomidon, Kings County, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2013 in Grand View Manor, Berwick. Born in Grand Falls, Newfoundland, she was a daughter of the late Leslie and Edith “Blanche” (Greene) Scott. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, homemaker and friend. She enjoyed puzzles, playing cards, traveling, picnics, darts, tea, attending hockey games and curling. She also enjoyed many fond moments with her dog, Sue. She is survived by her husband, Robert Coffill, Grand View Manor; a daughter, Linda (Barry) Gaynor, White Rock, British Columbia; two sons, Leslie (Angie), Centreville, Digby County; Stephen (Lori), Kentville; five grandchildren, Dara (Chuck) Boa, Calgary; Shaun (Brenda) Gaynor, Surrey, British Columbia; Denise King, Sarnia, Ontario; Nathan Coffill and Logan Coffill, both of Centreville, Kings County; two step-grandchildren, Nicole and Melissa; mother-in-law, Myrtle Coffill, Middleton; a brother, Tom (Bertha) Scott, New Brunswick; many nieces, nephews and special friends. She was predeceased by three brothers, William “Scotty”, Leslie and Montgomery in infancy. Cremation has taken place under the direction of the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Kentville. There will be no visitation by family request. A private family memorial service will be held in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. Family flowers only by request. Donations in memory may be made to the Grand View Manor - for the purchase of equipment for palliative care or to a charity of your choice.
