Peacefully after a short illness, surrounded by her family, on Saturday, April 27, 2013, at Elizabeth Bruyere Heath Centre.
Beloved wife of the late Raymond Donald MacKinnon. Loved mother of Paula (Brian) MacDonald, Margaret (Rick) Carlson, Ian, the late Allan, Donald (Benedicta), Susan (Stuart) Cowen, Patricia (the late Bryan) Lochead, Pamela (Gerald) Rawding, and Janet (James) MacLaren. Loving grandmother of 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Anne was born in Prince Edward Island. She began her career as a school teacher in P.E.I., and later worked for the Department of National Defense and the RCMP in Ottawa.
Special thanks to the Palliative Care Unit at the Elizabeth Bruyere Health Centre for their care and compassion.
Friends are invited to visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod St. (at O'Connor) on Thursday, May 2, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Service in the chapel on Friday at 11 a.m. Followed by a reception in the McGarry Family Reception Centre.
