Thomas William Benson passed away at the Palliative Care Unit of the Victoria General Hospital in Halifax on July 1, 2008. Tom was born and lived most of his 58 years in Charlottetown, P.E.I. In the last eight years, Tom lived in Oromocto, N.B., Field, Ont., and Halifax, N.S. Tom is survived by his son, Jeff, daughter-in-law Jill Saunders, grandson Alex (Vancouver, B.C.) and his sister Wanda MacLean (Charlottetown). Tom will be sadly missed by family, many friends and especially by his lifelong friend Carola Benson (Victoria, B.C.). Cremation performed by the Memorial Gardens Crematorium in Halifax. Services to be held at a later date. Donations to the Cancer Society would be appreciated.
