It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our Mother, Phoebe Power of Chapel Arm on Monday, April 29, 2013, age 84 years. Predeceased by her husband Michael; her parents: James and Janet Smith; brothers: Arthur and Wilbur Smith; mother and father-in-law: Felix and Gertrude Power; sister-in-law Clara Power (Anthony); brother-in-law Ronald Power (Kitty). Leaving to mourn her children: Gary (Joan), Jim (Brenda), Art (Trudy), Gale, John (Connie), Michael (Sharon), Trudy Northover (Ed), Janet Power (Dennis), Nancy Loveless (Lindsay) and Dean (Roxanne). Her grandchildren: Sherry (Blair), Felicia, Cory (Tiffanie), Jessica, Kayla, Nicole, Leah, Stephanie, Jeremy, Julian, Trevor, Ashley, Daniel, Adam, Alexa, Michael, Taylor and Brooklyn. Great-grandchildren: Carson and Charlie. Sisters: Pearl Warren (Merrill), Janet Power (Andy); sisters-in-law: Berdina Smith and Vera Smith. Many nephews and nieces, especially Mervin and Lloyd Smith, also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Holloway's Funeral Home, Whitbourne on Tuesday, April 30th from 7 - 9 p.m. and Wednesday, May 1st from 11 a.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass on Thursday, May 2nd at Sacred Heart of Mary Church, Chapel Arm at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at the Sacred Heart Cementary, Long Harbour Road.
