On May 5, 2013 Mary Hynes of Ferryland (nee Mary Ellen O’Neill of Long Beach) passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus. Predeceased by her loving husband, Thomas Hynes; her parents: Thomas and Matilda O’Neill; her brother; Bob and her sister, Peg Tobin, she leaves, with cherished memories and stories, her children and their families; her only daughter, Evelyn (Grant, Glenn, Denise and Michael) and her four sons: Ron (Susan, Lori, Rebecca, Elena, Lily, Andrew, Matteo, Jacob, Ethan and Ostara), Gordon (Janet, Melissa and Nick, Paul, Rebecca and Ashley), Gary (Dolores, Michael, Joel and Percy, Lois and Gabriel) and Keith (Carmenn, Micheal and Khristal). Also left to celebrate the memories of a life well-lived are her brothers: Bill (Alice), John, Kevin and Sonny; her dear sisters: Gert Curtis and Catherine Pennell and their families; as well as sisters-in-law: Veronica Hynes, Cecelia McKinnon, Rita Maddock, Maria Cleary and brother-in law, Aiden Hynes (Edna); special friend Elroy Hynes (Maureen); and their families. A special thank-you to Mom’s care givers for their exemplary care and compassion shown during the past three years. Viewing will take place at Fahey’s Funeral Home, Fermeuse, from 2 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7 and on Wednesday, May 8. A wake vigil is scheduled at Fahey’s Funeral Home for 7:00 on Wednesday. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Holy Trinity Church, Ferryland at 11:00, Thursday, May 9, followed by interment at Holy Trinity Cemetery, Ferryland.
