BROWN, Howard Ross – 91, The Mira Long Term Care Facility, Truro, passed away peacefully, Thursday, May 2, 2013, at The Mira. Born October 21, 1921, in Londonderry Mines, he was a son of the late Thomas and Maude (Ross) Brown. He was a trucker for most of his life, working for various companies in the United States and Canada. Howard is survived by his son, Howard James “Buddy” Brown, Boston, Massachusetts; numerous nieces and nephews in Massachusetts, New Jersey, Texas and California. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Marjorie E. (Fielding); son, Kenneth Wade Brown; sisters, Stella Relf, Rita Brown, Isabell (Brown) Gordon; brothers, Laurie, Thomas, Earl, Ivan. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall – Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where visitation will be held 2-4 p.m., Thursday, May 9, 2013, and funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Friday, May 10, 2013, Reverend Brian DeLong officiating.
