The death occurred in Kings Regional Rehabilitation Centre, Waterville, on July 12, 2008, of Daniel Francis Cheverie of Dartmouth and formerly of Souris, aged 75 years. Danny was born May 22, 1933, to the late Danny and Lottie (Fougere) Cheverie. Danny never lost his love for his home on Prince Edward Island. Survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Beatrice, children Barbie (Kent Jackson) Montague, Danny Jr. (Betty Lou) Moncton, Lynda (Dale Carroll), Nancy (Gordon Keeler), Steven and Matthew all of Dartmouth. Also left to mourn are his grandchildren, Amanda and Neil of P.E.I., Alex of Ontario, Daniel, Tara, Kyle, Curtis, Ryan, Kaila, Dallin, Maisha and great-granddaughter Ryleigh, all of Dartmouth, sisters Bard MacDonald of Souris, Doreen Mallard (Alex Langille) Dartmouth, Eleanor (Basil Burke) and Dottie (Carl Burke) both of Fortune Bridge, Cecelia (Dave Morash) Glen Haven, and Brother Eddie (Charlene) Timberlea, numerous nieces and nephews and his Aunt Lillian Carter, Souris. Predeceased by his brother, Louis, and sister Esther (in infancy). Cremated remains resting at the Dingwell Funeral Home, Souris, with visiting hours on Saturday 2-4 p.m. with funeral to be held from the Dingwell Funeral Chapel at 6 p.m. with interment to follow in St. Mary’s Church cemetery.
