The death occurred peacefully at Prince County Hospital on Wednesday, May 8, 2013, of John Thomas Wells of Summerside. Tom is survived by his wife, Marguerite MacEwen, and daughters, Debi Wells (Tom Carpenter), Linda (Ken) Sunderland, and Beverly Wells, all of Ontario, and by his son John (Claire) Wells, New Milford, Connecticut. Also survived by his stepdaughters, Shelley (Brian) McAloney, Gloria (Brendan) McShane, Beth MacEwen (Mike Gallant), and Carol (Kent) MacFarlane. Tom leaves behind 10 grandchildren, 14 step-grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Survived also by several nieces and nephews and brother and sisters-in-law, including Hazel Millar of Summerside. Predeceased by his wife Evelyn MacQueen, brother Charles Wells and stepdaughter Wendy Hughes.
