SAUNDERS (BEYEA), MARGARET - (1927 - 2013) - It is with sadness we announce the death of Margaret Mary Saunders (Beyea/Smith) of Hampton, N.B. After a brave struggle with her illness, Margaret passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord on May 9, 2013. Margaret was born September 14, 1927 and was the daughter of the late Stanley and Margaret Smith of Smithtown, N.B. Throughout her life, Margaret was devoted to her church and family. She had many wonderful friends and achievements throughout her life. Her greatest passion was her love for the Lord and devotion to her children and grandchildren. She was a former member of Forest Hills Baptist Church and presently an active member at Hammond Valley Community Church. Margaret is survived by her two daughters Kathryn and Lynda Beyea, and three sons, Stephen (Cheryl), Eldon (Joanne) and Kevin (Linda Beyea), sister Shirley, brother George, and sister in law, Anne Ferris (Weston), 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Keith Royce Beyea and husband Bennett Fowler Saunders.
Margaret is resting at Fundy Funeral Home (646-2424) at 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, N.B. Visiting hours are Saturday, May 11th from 7 to 9 pm and Sunday, May 12th from 2 to 4 pm. Funeral service will be held on Monday, May 13 at 1:30 pm at Forest Hills Baptist Church. Reverend Jim Rushton will officiate. Burial at Hammond Valley Community Church in Smithtown will follow. A reception for Margaret’s family and friends at the Hampton Bible Camp on Lakeside Drive, Hampton is scheduled at 3:30 pm. Margaret has requested donations be made to Forest Hills Baptist Church and Hammond Valley Community Church. Special thanks to the staff at Bobby’s Hospice.
