NEW GLASGOW / PICTOU – Irene Theresa Anderson, 62, of New Glasgow and formerly of Pictou, passed away May 9, 2013 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in P.E.I., she was a daughter of Mary (Blaisdell) Brown, Pictou and the late Russell Brown.
She worked in the Caribou Fish Plant and at Advocate Printing. She enjoyed fishing, bowling, watching wrestling, and playing bingo.
Besides her mother, she is survived by sons, Eugene Cornett (Crystal), Truro; Ronnie Cornett and Vernon Cornett, both of New Glasgow; David Cornett, Alberta; daughter, Mary Cornett, B.C.; sister, Bernice Blaisdell, Pictou; brothers, Leonard Brown, Pictou; Kenny (Dana) Brown, New Glasgow; best friend and companion, Sammy Stewart, New Glasgow.
She was predeceased by brother, Rick Brown; sister, Linda Welsh.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday in McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou, from where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday with Pastor Bruce Morrison officiating. Burial will be in Seaview Cemetery.
