Helen McKenna, 73, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 9, 2013 at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Daughter of the late James H. and Mary Helen (nee Shields) McKenna.
She is survived by her brother, James (Cecilia). She doted on her nephews, Ian (Joy) and Neil (Mona), and affectionately spoiled her grandnephews, James 12, Thomas 10, Zach 4, and grandnieces, Caitlin 2, and Layla 1.
Special thanks to all her friends and family for their support to Helen during her illness.
Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home until Monday morning, then transferred to St. Dunstan’s Basilica for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment to follow in the family plot at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown.
Visiting hours on Sunday from 2-4 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the P.E.I. Cancer Treatment Centre.
