Trenton - Weldon Ross Murray, age 83, of Grandview Ave., Trenton, passed away Thursday, May 9, 2013 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Trenton, he was the son of the late Ross and Hazel (Holmes) Murray. He was a long service employee of Trenton Works. Weldon was the loving father of daughters: Carolyn Murray and Janice Murray, both of Trenton; son: Ross (Dorothy) Murray, Belleville, ON; granddaughters: Jessica Murray, Belleville, ON; Melissa Kaups (Paul), Mississauga, ON; great grandson: Dallas Weldon Kaups. He is also survived by long-time friends: Phyllis and Stu Walters, New Glasgow; nephew: Weldon Hanson, Halifax; niece: Crystal Hanson, Halifax. He was predeceased by his wife of 49 years, the former Joyce MacGillivray and his sister, Jean Hanson. Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 pm Monday, May 13, in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow, from where funeral service will be held at 1 pm Tuesday, May 14 with Rev. Dr. Ken MacLeod officiating. Burial will be in Telford Cemetery.
