MOORE, KENNETH BRIAN - The passing of Brian Moore of Lincoln, NB, husband of Frances (Gilmore) Moore, occurred on Friday, May 10, 2013 at home. Born in Saint John, NB, on January 8, 1943, he was the son of the late Mary (Cameron) and Kenneth Moore. Brian was a Meteorological Technician, starting his career in Goose Bay, NL. His job took him to Charlo, Halifax and Sydney before he settled in Fredericton in 1970. Brian retired from meteorological services in 1995. Brian enjoyed spending time with his family, whom he was very close with, and loved to share his many stories! He also enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, and was an avid electronics/radio enthusiast. In addition to his love of boating, Brian and his boys built five boats over the course of the years. He liked to visit and stay at the old family homestead in Hampstead. Brian and his wife, Frances, enjoyed many years of retirement together with their children, grandchildren and one new great-grandchild. Besides his wife, Brian is survived by his two sons, Chris (Denny) and Andy (Nicole); six grandchildren, Samantha (Eric), Bradley (Adrianna), Jason (Mallory), Gregory, Adam and Colins; and one great-grandson, Benjamin. Also survived by one sister, Mary Lee, and her children, Brent and Penny; two aunts, Thelma and Phyllis; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents Brian was predeceased by his son, Roger.
Visitation was held on Sunday, May 12, from 7 to 9 pm at the Oromocto Funeral Home. The funeral service will take place in the funeral home chapel on Monday, May 13, 2013 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Bob Johnson officiating. Interment will be in the Central Hampstead Cemetery.
