CURRIE, LYLE - It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of our father, Lyle Gordon Currie, on May 10, 2013 at the Oromocto Public Hospital. Lyle was born in Douglas, NB to the late Gordon and Annie Currie on June 5, 1933. Lyle is survived by his special friend, Annie; children, Myles (Villa), Jo-Ann (Marty), Patsy (Charles), Debbie (Kenny), Joe (Leisa), Teresa (Victor), and special daughter, Kathy (Jerry); sisters, Pauline, Florence, and Mary; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Lyle was predeceased by his loving wife, Glenna (Randall) Currie; brothers, Allan and Beverly; and sisters, Lila Mae and Margaurite.
Visitation will be held at the Oromocto Funeral Home, Monday, May 13 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at the Oromocto Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 am with Canon Walter Williams officiating. Interment will follow the service at St. Paul's Anglican Cemetery in Burton. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to a charity of the donor's choice.
