At Maplewood Manor, Alberton, on Sunday, July 20, 2008, of Velda Martina Ellsworth, formerly of St. Lawrence, aged 79, wife of the late Vincent Ellsworth. Born on June 13, 1929, at Palmer Road, the daughter of the late Elmer and Pearl Myra (Cannon) Costain. Beloved mother of Irene (Lloyd) Rayner, Unionvale; Claude (Dorothy), St. Lawrence; Rosetta (Harvey) Bernard, Winsloe; Cathy (Stephen) Gallant, Miminegash; Thomas, Alberton; Chet (Beverly Power), St. Lawrence. Loving grandmother of 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. Also survived by 11 brothers and sisters. Predeceased by her son, Major, in infancy, grandchildren Clint and Douglas. Resting at the Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O’Leary, with visiting hours Tuesday 7-9 p.m. Funeral on Wednesday in the chapel at 10:30 a.m. Interment later in the Miminegash United Church Cemetery.
