POLLOCK, TAMMY LYNN (MERSEREAU) - It is with great sadness the family would like to announce the death of Tammy Lynn Pollock, wife of Roger Pollock of Quispamsis, Saint John, NB, which occurred on May 19 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital after a long battle with MS, with her loving family at her side. Born in Fredericton on July 30, 1969, she was the daughter of Ronnie and Alice (Price) Mersereau of Fredericton Junction. Tammy resided at York Manor in Fredericton for the last five years. She graduated from Oromocto High School in 1987 and then attended Saint Andrews Community College, taking Hotel Management. After graduation from there she worked at the Courtney Bay Inn, Saint John. After marrying Roger she worked as the bookkeeper for Rogers' business until she was unable to do so. She loved to go to the Camp at Big Kedron Lake and enjoyed many weekends there right up to early January. She loved being outside and enjoyed fishing on the lake and hunting. Tammy is survived by her loving husband, Roger of Quispamsis, Saint John; parents, Ronnie and Alice Mersereau of Fredericton Junction; one brother, Timmy Mersereau (Tammy) of St. Stephen, NB; nephews, Cody and Ben; grandfather, Gerald Price; four brothers-in-law; and two sisters-in-law; best friend, Bev Little; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by grandmothers, Audrey Price and Inez Mersereau; grandfather, Rainsford Mersereau; uncles, Eddie and Kenny Mersereau and Harry Greenough. Special thanks to the nurses and staff of the Dixon Unit at York Manor for their excellent care of Tammy over the last five years, to Dr. Pniak, the best MS doctor anyone could ask for, and to Dr. Robertson for always being there when needed. Thank you to Dr. Gowan and staff of Palliative Care Ward at the Chalmers Hospital. Special thank you to staff of 3NE for the excellent care of Tammy while she was a patient there.
Resting at Sunbury Funeral Home, 5407 Route 101, Central Blissville, NB. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, May 21, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held from St. Andrews Anglican Church in Fredericton Junction on May 22 at 2:00 pm, with Bishop George Lemmon and Rev. Jim Harrison officiating. Interment will follow at Gladstone Cemetery, Fredericton Junction. A reception will be held at Gladstone Curling Club. Donations to the York Manor, Easter Seals or the MS Society would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements are in the care of Sunbury Funeral Home, Central Blissville, NB (368-2413).
