McLAUGHLIN, DONALD - Donald Blair McLaughlin passed away on Monday, May 20, 2013 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on December 28, 1934. He was the son of the late Daniel and Pansy (Mealey) McLaughlin. He was survived by brothers, Roy and Murray; sister, Bev Oagles; many nieces and nephews. Donny grew up on the west side, where he resided most of his years. The last few years he has lived on the north end. Donny worked for the CPR Truckers for many years. He loved watching baseball and hockey. He enjoyed Tim Hortons coffee and doughnuts. He had two wonderful trips to Toronto and Florida and talked about Florida often. Donny was predeceased by his brother, Roger; sister-in-law, Marjorie; sisters, Pauline Girouard and Betty Lou McLaughlin; sister-in-law, Mae McLaughlin; nephew, Gary Girouard; brother-in-law, Roy Girouard; brothers-in-law, James Oagles.
Arrangements are entrusted to Castle Funeral Home, “Fallsview Chapel”, 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John West, (634-1701). Following cremation, a visitation will take place on Thursday, May 23, 2013 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8p.m. A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 24, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. from Castle Funeral Home, “Fallsview Chapel”. Interment will take place in the Holy Cross Cemetery. Following the interment, there will be a reception held at the Fallsview Family Reception Center.
