The death occurred peacefully at the Summerset Manor, Summerside, on Monday, July 21, 2008, of Jean M. Ramsay, of Hawthorne Avenue, Summerside, in her 90th year. Born in Darnley, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Lucy (Abbott) MacKay. Beloved wife of the late Bruce Ramsay. Dear mother of Judy (John) Hancock, Summerside; and Linda (the late Martin) Smith, Bedford, N.S. Loving grandmother of Janelle (Daniel) Archibald, Summerside. Survived by her sisters, Muriel Brown, Kensington; Louise Crossman, Summerset Manor; Joyce (Allan) Weber, Elmira, Ont.; Esther (Joe) Wigmore, Kensington; and by a sister-in-law, Daisy MacKay, Summerside. Predeceased by her brothers, Keir and Elton MacKay; two brothers and one sister in infancy; sisters-in-law Anna MacKay and Ruth MacKay; brothers-in-law Gordon Crossman, Ray Crozier and Harry Brown. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Thursday, then to the Summerside Bible Chapel, for funeral service at 11 a.m. Interment in People’s Cemetery, Summerside.
