NEVARD: Eric Holmden, age 67, of Swift Current, SK passed away May 19, 2013 at the Cypress Regional Hospital with his family by his side. At Eric's request, no formal service was held at this time. Friends were invited to gather at the family home on Saturday, May 25 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. for a time of sharing and fellowship. There will be a private family interment at the Lipton Community Cemetery at a later date. Eric is survived by his longtime partner Linda Wilson, wife Fern Nevard; his children, Michele (Jason) Neufeld, Cheryl (Joe) Magee, Kristopher (Annie) Tremain, Crystal (Joey Bang) Tremain and Jordan (Madalyn Penner) Tremain; grandchildren Dylan, Conner and Breanne Neufeld; Braedyn, Samual, Mathew and Jaxon Magee and Kaelyn Tremain; sisters, Eileen Harvey of England, Colleen (Ed) Campbell of Regina, Moira (Rod) Wiley of Regina, special family friend Linda Britton, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Sherwood (Bud) and Mary Nevard; his mother Caroline Nevard; granddaughter Avaida Tremain; and special family friend Steve Britton. Eric was born in Lipton, SK on January 28, 1946. He attended school in Lipton, and then became a longtime employee with Rusty's Painting. He was a longtime member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #56, and was caretaker of the Legion cemetery. He enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, country music, and spending time with his family and loyal canine companions. Eric loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren and shared his knowledge, experiences, and stories with them.
