At Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Wednesday, May 29, 2013, surrounded by her loving family, of Velda B. MacMillian of Kensington, aged 83, wife of Edward MacMillian. Born in Glenwood, Nov. 29, 1929, daughter of the late Daniel and Jane Morrison. Dear mother to Calvin, Freetown; Barb (James) McMurdo, North Bedeque; Sandra (Donald) Paynter, Kensington; Elwood (Janet), Margate; Sheila (Wesley) Craswell, South Rustico; Leila (Peter) Thompson, Kensington; Gordon (Leisa), Kensington; Bernadette (Brent) Kelly, Kinkora; Donna MacMillan and Diane MacMillan, both of Summerside. Loving grandmother to 29 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Velda is also survived by son-in-law Carl Craswell, Stratford, and sisters-in-law: Ferne Carruthers, Howlan; Jeanette Baglole, New Annan; Margaret MacMillan, West Cape. Predeceased by her parents, daughter Lila Craswell, daughter-in-law Adele, granddaughters; Holly Ann MacMurdo, Amylynn MacMillan, Courtney Elizabeth Perry, Kenley Janet Adams MacInnis; brothers and sisters: Louis Morrison, Wendell Morrison, Inis (Albert) Robinson, Adley (Fred) Boulter, Leonard (Ruth) Morrison and Doris (Boyd) Shaw. Resting at the Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O’Leary, with visiting hours Friday, May 31, from 6-8 p.m. Funeral service Saturday, June 1, in the Chapel at 11 a.m. Interment to follow in Bethel United Church Cemetery. In memory of Velda, memorials to the Children’s Wish Foundation would be appreciated.
