The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Friday, May 31, 2013, of Gerald "Chuck" McNeill of Summerside, aged 88 years. Veteran of World War II. Born in Summerside, he was the son of the late Daniel and Pearl (Tamlyn) McNeill. Survived by his wife Florence (Campbell) McNeill; sons Allan (Gloria) McNeill, Kensington; Keith McNeill, Squamish, B.C.; Clair (Grace) McNeill, Vancouver, B.C.; David (Terri) McNeill, Summerside; daughter Barbara McNeill, Summerside; grandchildren Allana, Keisha, Olivia, Campbell and Noah McNeill; brothers Dr. Hubert (Christine) McNeill, Summerside; Edward (Wilma) McNeill, Sarnia, ON; sisters Margaret Cooke, Summerside; Dorothy McNeill, Toronto, ON; sisters-in-law Mary McNeill, Summerside; Monica McNeill, Summerside; and by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his son Kenneth McNeill; brothers Francis "Peg", Ronald, John and Tanton McNeill; sisters Gertrude Mullins, Pearl Murphy and Anita Manion. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Monday, then to St. Paul's Church, Summerside, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment in St. Paul's Cemetery, Summerside. Visiting hours Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Memorial donations to the Kidney Foundation or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. Members of the Summerside Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion will hold a Service of Remembrance at the funeral home Sunday at 6:45 p.m.
