At the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Saturday, June 1, 2013, of Mrs. Aletha “Dolly” Hennessey (nee Doyle), age 83, beloved wife of Michael F. Hennessey.
Loving mother of Kathleen (Michael) Garrett, Maureen Hennessey, Frank (Susan Linkletter), Sean (Roberta MacDonald) and Patrick (Rose Fitzpatrick). Greatly loved “Gran” to Kylah Hennessey (Danny Cusack), Ryan (Lori) Hennessey, Kieran (Kate) Hennessey, Liam, Dylan and Conor Hennessey, Michelle (Michael) Raynard, Shannon Garrett, and Kristen Garrett (Jake Bonham). Loving great-grandmother to Ethan and Haylee Hennessey, Colin and Evan Raynard, and Grace Bonham. Also survived by brothers, Glenn (Barbara, deceased) Doyle, Thane (Marie) Doyle; sister-in-law, Frances (Harold, deceased) Bowlan; brother-in-law, George (Theresa, deceased) Hennessey; and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents, William and Blanche (nee Oliver) Doyle; brothers, James (Phyllis), Gerald (Betty); and by sister-in-law, Mary (Ronan) Macdonald.
Resting at Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home until Wednesday, June 5, then transferred to the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment to follow in the family plot in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown. Visiting hours on Tuesday, June 4, from 4 to 7 p.m.
Members of the Catholic Women’s League will hold a prayer service at the funeral home on Tuesday at 3:45 p.m.
